Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
Your personal data is processed for the purpose of keeping you up to date with new course material. The legal basis for processing the data is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, which you provide by submitting your email address.
Categories of Data Processed
The following category of personal data is processed:
- Email address: provided by you so that we can send you updates about our courses.
- Name: provided by you so that we can personalize our outreach (we only require your first name; providing a surname is optional).
Email Collection Tool
We use LimeSurvey (LimeSurvey GmbH, Papenreye 63, 22453 Hamburg, Germany) to collect your email address. A data processing agreement is in place to ensure your data is processed exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions; LimeSurvey is not permitted to access or use your data for its own purposes. Data processing takes place on LimeSurvey servers located in Germany.
Course Delivery (WebinarGeek)
When you register for or attend one of our courses, we host it using WebinarGeek (Einsteinlaan 28, 2719 EP Zoetermeer, The Netherlands). WebinarGeek acts as a data processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement, and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes. At that stage, WebinarGeek processes your registration details (such as your name and email address) and may collect attendance and engagement data and technical data such as your IP address, in order to deliver the course. Data Security
All data is protected by SSL encryption during transit and remains encrypted at rest on GDPR-compliant servers.
Data Retention
We will retain your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop running these courses, whichever comes first. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Data may be retained longer where required by law.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion of your data, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive your data in a portable format. You may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
